Frisørcaféen is an established hair salon with an extensive client base, but the constant influx of customers meant they had never had the time to set up a website. Though business was good, Frisørcaféen's owner Monica wanted to make sure it continued to be so with a simple but attractive website, which could convey the salon's atmosphere and philosophy far better than a basic phone book listing.
I created a single-page site, with the information provided by Monica clearly laid out. The site will rarely need to be updated, so it was built with pure code, but can easily be migrated to a content-management system if necessary in the future.
Frisørcaféen is a warm, welcoming salon, and it was important that this feeling carried over to the design of their website.
I based the primary colour scheme on their logo, which conveniently contributes to the warm feel of the site. Because there was so little written content, I was able to take several high-quality, enticing photographs of the salon and include them amidst the text. I also utilised plenty of whitespace to avoid clutter.
