The Bob 2008, In Bob We Trust, was the first Bob directed by two directors. The division between them was the show's theme, and the production team wanted the website to reflect that division in some way. The site also had to include all relevant information about the show, a trailer, and cast, crew and team biographies.
The site would not be changing after its launch, so I built it using raw code to have full control over the design. To add an interactive element to the divide, the splash page required the user to choose a "side", which then led them into separate team pages. The content was almost the same on both team's sites; only the colour scheme, headers and directors' bios changed.
In addition to structurally dividing the site between the two directors, the design had to reflect this division as well. Playing on this, the production team specifically requested that the site have a distinct political campaign feel.
I used several conventions of political sites in the design, notably the cheesy campaign photograph and quote as a header image. The opposing colour schemes were chosen for their contrast and respective political associations. The layout was kept simple, though of course still standards-compliant and accessible.
